Did you try posting the comment, then looking at in "Preview" mode (if your browser works that way)? I've found, on Statework, Classical in the Air, and some other blogs that I can only post the comment from the "Preview" setting.
Thanks for posting this --- it's my first actual hearing of this conductor and orchestra and I'm liking it --- great sound too. Did you notice that the track listing is a little screwy? The second and third movements are scrunched together as "II. Andante Moderato", the "III. In ruhig ... " is actually the "Urlicht: and the tracks marked as movements "IV and V" are actually the finale.
No problem, since everything is in the right order ... when I saw the timings at first, I was a little alarmed: I know Dudamel is supposed to be bringing new vitality and all to classical music but a timing of 6:56 for the third movement seemed a bit over the top! (And 22:13 for the Andante moderato would be approaching the late-late Klemperer for shear ..... dignified ........... breadth!)
Great sound (I'm using my headphones, for that "Maready" effect). Thanks for sharing!
Whoa! I didn't notice that, having just let it play through all the time. Wierd breaks, indeed, it seems this Sym.2 is different in more ways than three!
And (had it really been) the almost seven minute-long third movement, that puts it in the Jordi Savall court of brisk pacing (have you heard his old Mozart Requiem recording??!!).
