Prokofiev series by Gergiev/LSO live 2009 at Lincoln Center: Russian Dreams

PART ONE: March 23 & 24, 2009

The whole Lincoln Center "Russian Dreams" Series is so ridiculously embarrassing in it's overflow of vividly performed riches that here it is:

A miniseries with almost all of it (what I could find, at least)...

Try this one through some good headphones; it's worth it, being a from-the middle-of-the-audience soundpoint!

Hi there --- nice to see you back and hope you had a nice holiday! Even though it's been awhile since your last post, I'm still absorbing the Xenakis and the Jarvi Beethoven. (You remember how much I liked that one!)

I'm very much looking forward to this series ... Gergiev seems to really come alive on stage, while in the studio he's never seemed that special to me. (But don't let that stop you from supporting the artist and buying his complete Prokofiev Symphonies ... I have it and its good, if not as good as Martinon!)

I'm downloading your first two installments and would like to thank in advance the Statework Staff for the superb headphone listening experience that the Statework Alice Tully Hall Recording Series invariably supplies.

Hi Guillermo, it's Fabio from Rome. It's the first time that I write to you, but I always keep an eye on your blog, since you are proposing very interesting posts.
I wanted to thank you for the Prokofiev (as a matter of fact, I should thank you for several others!), which is one of my favourite composers, and for the Gergiev version, of course: I think that Gergiev is inarrivable for the Russian repertoire. Thanks once again and we will keep in touch. All the best, Fabio

Hi Guillermo,

Thanks a lot for the Prokofiev offers. As for stuffit, no for us (unhappily, for sure) but nevertheless living in Bill Gates' world, using Stuffit is very cumbersome. Two dozens of clicks, a data sheet to fill, an email, to have the possibility of searching through a couple of pages where to click again to be allowed to receive their publicity and eventually a 13 MB file and you the discover you need Microsoft Passport!!!
Hombre, any compressor has this function integrated, rar, 7zip, etc.
La pucha!
btw, thanks for using mediafire!
